ABOUT

I am a photographer, artist, and art therapist.

I use art to explore and comment on social issues, often using collaborations to create dialogue about specific issues. I find these collaborations to be valuable to the communities that create them as shared images open up discussions and illuminate strengths and needs. I also use art to explore the complexities and potential of imagination, often allowing my drawing and printmaking work to unfold spontaneously and alongside metaphorical symbols.

As a professional photographer, I use a documentary style to capture images that represent my subjects in authentic ways. I provide portrait, headshot, event, and business marketing photography services. View the Galleries to see my work, and the Photography Services page to learn more about how I may be able to meet your photography needs.

I decided to become an art therapist when I found myself using art to explore my own past, self-perceptions, and connections to others. I found art to naturally facilitate expression that was otherwise elusive. Art therapy training provided me with tools to facilitate this process with others. Visit the Art Therapy page to learn more about how I work as an art therapist.

In my practices with photography, art, and art therapy I am constantly finding new sources of beauty, health, and creativity. I am eager to share this with you. I hope you enjoy my site.
